Can you see the Butterfly?
Butterflies are deep and powerful representations of life. Many cultures associate the butterfly with our souls. Some religions see the butterfly as symbols of resurrection. Around the world, people view the butterfly as representing endurance,change, hope and life.
Sometimes walking away with $5 in your pocket and the clothes on your back is the only way to live to see another day.
A survivor gladiator’s story: One afternoon a woman found herself looking down the barrow of a shotgun and wondering how she had gotten to such a hopeless place.
The woman had struggled most of her life to become independent and successful. As she sat with tears rolling down her face she could see the reflection of a tired, beaten old woman in the mirror. Who had she become? With the pull of the trigger her life would be over.
As she begged the man standing in front of her to put the gun down she could only think of what her 6 year old daughter would do without her.
Well he did put the gun down and she was given another opportunity to shake the dirt off and walk into a brighter future.
“If you think you can or if your think that you cannot, you are right”.
The Pain was not in Vain. I am a survivor gladiator of domestic violence.
